Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide team leadership and support for the United States Coast Guard in government acquisition lifecycle services. This position is fully remote.
***This is a contingent hire position with an anticipated start date of early September 2025.***
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics to assist Integrated Project Team (IPT) improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Develop and implement processes to monitor and evaluate vendor performance across the enterprise to enhance accountability and increase vendor performance.
Coordinate with senior technical and management leaders involved in improving acquisition processes to achieve mission objectives.
Provide facilitation, training, and support in contracting and program office personnel to ensure adoption of basic contracting principles and new program practices.
Improve processes regarding acquisition facilitation and vendor management through planning, processes, and other functions.
Identify qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure consistency in the measurement of all relevant metrics.
Provide advice, recommendations, document support across the entire contracting lifecycle (Pre-Award; Post-Award and Contract Closeout).
Review, advise, and/or independently draft acquisition plans and other related documents, including risk mitigation approaches, contracting strategies, contracting methods, cost estimation, schedule development, and Independent Government Cost Estimates.
Qualifications and Skills
Contracting certification under FAC-C or DAWIA.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) – OR-
CMMI Associate Certificate – will provide training for certification.
Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
Education
Master’s degree in management, business, public policy, or English.
