Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, Team Lead/Contract Specialist to provide team leadership and support for the United States Coast Guard in government acquisition lifecycle services. This position is fully remote.
***This is a contingent hire position with an anticipated start date of early September 2025.***
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide leadership for contract team during day-to-day operations.
Be primary point of contact and liaison between the customer and company management.
Provide monthly progress reports to Contracting Officer Representative on work performed process improvement suggestions for efficiency.
Ability to perform all stages along the Federal acquisition lifecycle.
Knowledge of contracting methods and contract types which require specialized knowledge of Federal contract administration.
Ability to manage processes to oversee and monitor supplies, equipment, services, or construction requirements.
Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to program and technical requirements sufficient to evaluate such actions.
Knowledge of contracts and pre-and post-award contracting policies and procedures to plan, execute, and administer contracts and contract modifications.
Understand negotiation techniques to protect the Government's interests and to ensure best value awards.
Excellent written and oral communications to present analysis and findings.
Ability to analyze difficult acquisition issues and identify alternative courses of action.
Ability to analyze and modify contracting procedures affect streamlined acquisitions.
Ability to accomplish work with modest level of independence while balancing competing priorities with short lead times.
Qualifications and Skills
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
Five (5) years of experience in project/program management
Cradle-to-grave experience with Federal contracting.
Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
Education
Master’s Degree in management, business, public policy, or English, preferred.
