We are seeking a IT Systems Administrator for a full-time, on-site role at Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) in Albany, GA.
This position involves supporting supporting MDMC Digital Depot Support initiative by maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting secure operation of applications, data platforms, and analytics environments used in depot maintenance modernization. This role focuses on system availability, patch management, configuration management, and operational support across on-premise and cloud environments.

Job Summary
We are seeking a IT Systems Administrator for a full-time, on-site role at Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) in Albany, GA.
This position involves supporting supporting MDMC Digital Depot Support initiative by maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting secure operation of applications, data platforms, and analytics environments used in depot maintenance modernization. This role focuses on system availability, patch management, configuration management, and operational support across on-premise and cloud environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers and operating systems.
- Manage system performance, uptime, and reliability across development and production environments.
- Perform patch management, system updates, and configuration management.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers, Cloud Architects, and DevOps Engineers to ensure system stability.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least 5 years' experience administering enterprise IT systems.
- Experience supporting Windows Server 2022.
- Knowledge of USMC supply support processes and systems preferred (not required).
- Experience supporting Linux environments preferred (not required).
- Prior supply/logistics experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (mandatory).
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Availability to provide surge support during increased mission requirements, emergencies, or short-notice events.
